Ray McGovern, Glenn Diesen: The Road War – Arms Control Collapsing
by Glenn Diesen [1-17-2026].
(RAD: Ray McGovern has a knack for being able to tell a story about complex geopolitical issues in an entertaining way that makes sense & can be remembered. Be sure to listen to this entire discussion for one of the best history lessons & important issues about arms control & arms races you will ever get within an hour. Ray goes back to the days of President Kennedy & is able to explain very important lessons that too many people never learned & others want to forget & don't want to learn.
The Russians & others keep wondering whether Trump is his own man, or how much he is being controlled by others. Many realize that he is delusional very narcissistic, which is dangerous in his position. There have been many provocations against Russia from the US that others wonder why Russia hasn't hit back much harder. Ray points out that Putin needs to treat Trump with kid gloves, because if things get out of hand, all the work Putin & others have done to raise Russia from the ashes of the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 will be for naught. We are fortunate to have Putin at the helm of Russia. Let's pray that this Ukrainian & other conflicts can be brought to a reasonable landing without blowing up the world in a devastating nuclear exchange.
There is no security without mutual security. The 'Golden Rule' should apply: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Again, I would encourage everyone to listen to this entire discussion for Ray's shared wisdom. — RAD)
