(RAD: This is a very important discussion, especially since Paulo Batista was a former Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) & is a founding Vice President of the BRIX New Development Bank. Therefore, he is very familiar with the complexities of the world financial systems, including political issues.

One aspect that makes these issues so challenging & dangerous is that the West, US, and Europe are declining in many ways. The US is unilaterally breaking treaties, destroying relations with allies, ignoring their own US 'rules-based order', imposing arbitrary tariffs that are disrupting trade, and many other disruptive actions. How can the US become great again by destroying relationships with the rest of the world?

The EU is practicing piracy of Russian assets & the US is pirating Venezuela oil & blockading their oil transportation.

All of this, and more, is demonstrating to the non-West that the US & EU can't be trusted.
