(RAD: This is one of the best discussions about the current status of the Ukrainian conflict and the military & political issues surrounding the Iranian conflict that is based upon careful present & historical analysis. I'm including it so that we can look back after a lot of these issues get settled to see how accurate this analysis really was.

With respect to Ukraine, unless NATO, Europe, and the US wake up and resolve this conflict on Russia's terms very soon, all of Ukraine east of the Dnieper river is likely to become part of Russia when the fighting stops. The West is simply 'blind' to what is happening & unwilling to admit that their objective to use Ukraine to defeat Russia isn't working.

The Iranian situation is more complex, yet the West simply doesn't understand the danger to themselves if they don't admit how difficult it would be to overthrow the Iranian government. If they could, who would they install? When this is over, expect Iran to finally decide that they need nuclear weapons. Notice that N Korea isn't bothered by the West now that they have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them.

Israel isn't going to give up on wanting to overthrow the Iranian government. Even if the West could overthrow the Iranian government, they have no viable plan on what to do next. Also, don't forget that Iran has a "dead hand" system in place that will automatically fire all missiles & drones on Israel & US military installations in the Middle East if the Iranian government & top military leaders are killed. There is no indication that the US has taken this into account.

Unfortunately, it looks like Trump is boxed into a corner and is likely to do something stupid. Let's hope not. — RAD)
