Pepe Escobar & Judge Napolitano: Trump Fumbles in Middle East, doesn’t fully grasp Russia’s Ukrainian Position, while Russia and China Wait

(This is a very important discussion where Pepe Escobar helps us sort through the hype coming from the Trump Administration and how important decision makers in the rest of the world interpret what is going on. Trump's proposal on rebuilding Gaza without the Palestinians having a place to go and not being able to return after Gaza is rebuilt isn't going to get off the ground. No one has any ideas about how Trump intends to accomplish this.

They went on to discuss the Ukrainian situation. Although Trump & members of his team are beginning to understand some of what it will take to resolve this situation, it is obvious that they don't really understand the fundamentals. Pepe identifies some of the issues needing attention. Since the US, NATO & Europe have been aggressive towards Russia for 34 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, it is unrealistic to think that good relations between the US & Russia can be established quickly. Of course, both Trump & Putin agree that both countries should work towards that goal. Russia wants to be treated as an equal partner, not as subservient to the US.

Listen carefully to Pepe's analysis of Russia's position and keep it in mind as Trump and the media talk about 'progress'. Of course, many of us want this situation to be resolved so that it will last and not flare up in a few years. All of the fundamentals are known, especially when we pay attention to the history leading up to this situation and listen to Russia. For many years the West has ignored Russia's concerns.
