The hegemony (dominance) of the United States in world affairs is destroying USA & Europe and is doomed. People all around the world are waking up and no longer want to be dominated by the chaotic destructive whims of America. The following map shows the Donbass Area in relation to Kyiv and the southern part of Ukraine to help visualize the areas being discussed. Notice the Dnieper River from Kyiv that eventually exits into the Black Sea around Odesa in the southwest of the map. Keep in mind that most of people living to the east of the Dnieper River are ethnic Russians.
In 2022, the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, the Zaporozhye Region and the Kherson Region became part of Russia after the citizens overwhelmingly voted to join Russia. The following map shows the location of these regions. Of course, the West doesn't recognize this, but there isn't anything that they can do about it now that these regions are part of Russia. I even had to use the Yandex.com search to find this map, because the West doesn't want to show this map. Also,

This demands a new multipolar approach to studying each civilization and the many subtle distinctions that exist within them.
